The Lawn
The Lawn is a beautiful Georgian mansion which is set amoungst picturesque landscaped gardens in the heart of the Essex countryside.
You can have your civil wedding ceremony in the grand hall which features a magnificant staircase, down which the bride will walk towards her husband-to-be. This reminds me of the fairytale depiction of Cinderella arriving at Prince Charming's ball.
A relatively new asset to the venue is the custom built orangery. This room has been designed specifically for wedding banquets, and the views onto the gardens and the glass ceiling make the room feel really fresh and light.
I always get the impression of being welcome at the Lawn. The staff are truly kind and friendly and their stellar efforts really go to show why this has become such a popular wedding venue.

Piano Music for Your Civil Wedding Ceremony
The open plan layout of the grand hall and the dancefloor offers our pianists a lot of different playing positions.
If you have booked our pianist to play for your ceremony and drinks reception, then I would recommend that the piano is set up on the dancefloor. From here, the music will be heard in the ceremony room, the lounge and through the windows and across the gardens.
When you choose your ceremony music, I recommend that you pick something really slow for the processional as you will be walking gracefully down a long flight of stairs.

A wedding pianist adds an additional element of class and sophistication to a wedding breakfast. Our musicians are exceptional pianists and we can supply specialists in jazz, classical or modern music.
At the Lawn, the wedding breakfast takes place in the orangery and there is ample space in this room to fit our impressive digital grand piano.

James, our wedding DJ, has built up his reputation with venues in Essex by playing the music that the couple have asked for and sticking closely to their requests.
At the Lawn, the dancefloor is in a brilliant position and the DJ can see through the door into the blue room and across the room into the grand hall. This makes it a really good venue for judging the mood of the guests and playing the songs that are going to get them dancing.

Beautiful Uplighting for Your Wedding Disco
We can supply decorative uplighting for wedding discos at the Lawn and these LED lights make the venue look absolutely superb.

You can choose the colour of the lighting for your first dance and then when the party starts, the lights will start changing colour in time to the music.
For weddings at the Lawn, we recommend using 8 decorative uplighters to give the best possible lighting effect.
