WEDDING MUSIC AT HANBURY MANOR HOTEL
Hanbury Manor Hotel
Hanbury Manor Hotel is a 5-star country retreat, luxury wedding venue and championship golf club in the centre of 200 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.
The Jacobean manor house is a splendid setting for a fairytale wedding reception and the beautiful parklands are completely magical on a sunny summers afternoon.
Hanbury Manor Hotel is a flexible wedding venue with a number of different function suites. Our favourite room has to be the Poles Hall (with a lovely sounding grand piano).
The Poles Hall was originally a chapel and it served the family living at the manor house. The architecture of the room with high vaulted ceilings and church-style windows makes this a perfect civil ceremony venue for couples looking for the traditional church atmosphere but without the religious service.
We often provide one of our excellent wedding pianists to play the grand piano for civil ceremonies in the Poles Hall.
After the ceremony, it is usual for guests to have drinks outside in the courtyard or on the lawns and we can provide a digital piano for our wedding pianist to play outside (weather permitting).
If you return to the Poles Hall for your wedding breakfast then our pianist can continue playing wedding piano music on the grand piano. If you have your wedding breakfast in the Thundridge Suite then we will supply another digital piano for our pianist to use in this room.
The Garden Court
For civil wedding ceremonies in the conservatory at the Hanbury Manor Garden Court, we supply a digital piano and we set this up in the back-right corner of the room. This gives us good access to power points and our pianist has a really good view of the ceremony room. This is important if they are going to be playing the entrance music as the bride walks down the aisle.
If the weather is nice, then our pianist will move their digital piano outside so that the background piano music drifts across the lawns. The music will be more up beat and will reflect the celebrations that are bound to be occuring!
When you take your seats for the wedding breakfast, our pianist will move to another piano that will be set up next to the fireplace in the lounge. This is a great position for the digital piano because it allows the sound to travel around the room and all of your guests will be able to see the pianist playing.
