Wedding Ceremony at El Chiringuito Beach Wedding Venue in Cala Gracioneta an Ibiza Mambo Weddings Venue.

El Chiringuito Beach Ibiza Wedding Venue

El Chiringuito is a restaurant and bar in Cala Gracioneta run by the Mambo Weddings Group.

The venue is their most popular wedding venue and it has a very authentic Ibiza bohemian vibe with wooden chairs, stretched canopies and a rustic / traditional island bar vibe.

Cala Gracioneta is a popular beach with amazing sand and El Chiringuito is right on the beach in this intimate cove.

The beach is a public beach (as all beaches have to be in Ibiza by law), but by the evening it is often deserted and it is a chance to have your own little chunk of island paradise for your wedding.

The venue opens for the season in late March and closes mid-November and prices to shut down the restaurant and have it for exclusive hire range from €14,000 – €24,000 (based on 40 adult guest) depending on the month and day of the week.

Expect to pay higher prices for a weekend in July and lower prices for a week day in April.

El Chiringuito has (steep) disabled access and a private carpark right next to the venue which is super useful as the area is usually super busy as it is popular with tourists.

The venue is a true Ibiza beach wedding venue with direct access to the beach and it offers an incredibly romantic end to the day on the beach (see below for more details).

Hire of El Chiringuito includes the wedding planning services of Lucy Dyer who is one of the most in demand wedding planners on Ibiza.

Having personally met her, it is hugely apparent that she completely understands the worries and stresses involved with planning a wedding abroad and I can hands down say that I would personally trust her to plan an event for me.

I just get the feeling that she would completely take the stress away and having seen her little black book of contacts, I can say that she has the best suppliers at her fingertips.

Highly recommended (note: Lucy also offers a wedding planning service for weddings at any venue on the island).

Weddings at El Chiringuito Ibiza

El Chiringuito is a beach restaurant and when you hire the venue for your wedding you get exclusive use.

The venue hire fee includes all of the restaurant and ceremony furniture and one of the islands best wedding planners (Lucy Dyer) and her team to help you in the run up to your wedding and to run the logistics on the day.

The catering is provided by the restaurant and food at El Chiringuito tastes good!!

Wedding planning is provided by Lucy Dyer who runs the Mambo Weddings wedding planning services and is one of the best wedding planners on Ibiza.

As the wedding venue is directly on the beach, it offers some really cool unique opportunities for photos and for the beginning and end of the wedding.

Lucy works regularly with a boat charter company and it is possible to arrange a boat for 10 people for the groom’s arrival.

The boat leaves San Antonio and takes a 1-hour cruise around the island before arriving at El Chiringuito just before the start of the wedding ceremony.

At the end of the wedding it is possible to finish with sparklers on the beach or you can choose to release lanterns onto the sea.

Watching these float away into the distance is one of the most magical Ibiza wedding experiences that you can experience.

Wedding Ceremony at El Chiringuito

The wedding ceremony at El Chiringuito takes place on the raised terrace to the right of the restaurant.

This provides beautiful views out to sea and is a really authentic location for a wedding in Ibiza.

Guests arrive at 3pm and the ceremony usually starts at 3.30pm.

This gives plenty of time for a super cool entrance by boat for the groom and groomsmen at 3.15pm so that all of the guests get to watch the really special arrival.

You can choose from a male or female celebrant to host your ceremony, depending on your tastes.

Lucy also has a slightly more extravagant option for ceremonies, so ask for Jean-Luc if you want somebody who will blow a shell and set things on fire to add a bit of extravagance to your Ibizan wedding ceremony.

For ceremony music, it is recommended to hire wedding pianist and wedding DJ James to play romantic piano music on his white grand piano shell fo your ceremony.

Wedding Reception at El Chiringuito

After your wedding ceremony you will get to enjoy your drinks reception in the bar and on the beach and you can customise your drinks selection with Lucy in the run up to your wedding.

At El Chiringuito, it is usual for the main feast to begin at 5pm.

The food is usually based around the amazing grill that is a signature of the restaurant.

Huge sharing platters will be served on the tables for everybody to enjoy and from eating at the restaurant, I can assure you that it will be delicious.

Dancing and Party at El Chiringuito

The DJ sets up under the canopy (opposite the bar) and the venue provides the sound system.

This is a strict requirement, no matter whether you use their in-house recommendation for DJ or if you hire another DJ for your wedding.

The sound system is compulsory because there are strict sound rules and regulations for venues in Ibiza and the El Chiringuito are super protective of their license.

Your first dance will take place between 7pm and 8pm and dancing will continue until 11pm.

At this point, the music has to be turned down to quieter than background level and instead of music being the focus, most weddings choose to move down onto the now deserted beach for sparklers or lanterns.

If you hire Ibiza wedding DJ James to DJ for your wedding then it is also possible for him to bring his white grand piano shell and set this up on the beach so that he can play romantic piano music for your sparklers or as you send off lanterns into the sea.

This is probably the most romantic ending to a wedding that we have discovered in Ibiza and is highly recommended.

At midnight, if you have a big crowd of ravers then you have two options to continue the party.

Option 1 is to hire the back room at Savannah’s.

Savannah is a bar and club on the sunset strip in San Antonio that is also owned by the Mambo group.

The backroom is a private club venue that is usually reserved for impromptu sets by some of the world’s most famous DJs, but is can also be hired for your wedding.

You can have Savannah’s backroom until 3.30am and James is available to DJ for your afterparty until the early hours of the morning.

Option 2 is to arrange transport to take you and your raving guests to one of the big super clubs on the island.

Pacha has big nights on most day of the week and is a good bet if you want an incredible party until the sun rises in the morning.

If you are after VIP tables then this is something that you can arrange through PianoDJ.
