The Lympne Castle is set high on a hill overlooking the Romney Marshes. It is a beautiful 13th century, grade 1 listed building. The Castle provides a perfect venue for wedding receptions, corporate events and private functions.

The Lympne Castle with its commanding views, has been strategically important since Roman times. The castle itself, parts of which date back to the 13th century, has witnessed invasion by the Danes and the Normans. It also played an important role as an observation post in World War II. With these credentials the castle surely merits its Grade 1 listing as being Architectural or Historic Interest.Lympne Castle historic architecture weaves its magic and you can believe that you are part of a fairy tale. The approach to the castle via the huge stone North Gate and alight in the courtyard within the main caste. The wedding party passes through into the West Drawing Room, which, with its oak panelling and open fire, is a great setting for the wedding service.The Lympne Castle is only a few miles from junction 11 of the M20 and is easily reached by car. The journey time from central London is approximately an hour and a half. The Castle can also be reached from London by train – services depart from Charing Cross and Waterloo East to Ashford International.

The Great Hall in the East Wing

An impressive room suitable for civil ceremonies, dining, board meetings, presentations or exhibitions. The exposed timber framed roof and half height wood panelled walls and stain glass windows provide a wonderful backdrop for any event. The huge open fireplace provides character as well as warmth.
