The Old Hall is a stylishly renovated farm house set in the rural agricultural Fens landscape. The family run venue has been beautifully decorated by the owners into a contemporary country house.

The Old Hall has a stunning outside Pavillion which is licensed for weddings, a well stocked bar in the house for pre-ceremony drinks and a dedicated dance floor area for an incredible party in the evening.

What is the maximum capacity:

130 for a civil ceremony, 180 for a seated meal, 350 for a standing reception in the summer, 250 for a standing reception in the winter and 150 for a standing reception in the house.

Other notes about The Old Hall:

The Old Hall has a recommended list of suppliers. Suppliers do not pay to be on this list, so it is a true recommended list.The venue has flat or ramp access to all rooms and 2 disabled toilets. There are currently no downstairs disabled bedrooms but there are plans to build ground floor bedrooms in the future.The house is locked after the drinks reception and only guests with bedrooms in the house have access to the building after this time. The rest of the wedding party has full access to the marquee and gardens.A minimum of 60 guests are required if you would like to use the marquee for your wedding.

Marquee

The Marquee is the main party and entertaining space at The Old Hall. This is a specially constructed permanent wedding marque that has everything that you could want for the perfect wedding. It sits high up in the grounds and has stunning views across the farmland to Ely Cathedral. The marquee has white draping and an incredible, rustic chandellier hanging from the centre of the ceiling. For the evening party, a curtain is pulled across to unveil a black and white dance floor and dancing area. This is pretty spectacular and makes for a fantastic dancing space.

Capacity of Room

130 for a seated wedding breakfast and upto 350 for a standing reception.

Supplier Access, Unloading and Set Up

Access is from the main car park and directly into the marquee through the dance floor stage entrance. The evening entertainment performs on a stage, so a ramp is required to wheel flight cases onto the stage from the dance floor. The black and white dance floor must be kept clean and carpet should be laid to prevent scuff marks from flight cases and shoes.


Patio and Gardens

The Patio and Gardens are used extensively for summer weddings as they have such a great range of photo opportunities and entertaining spaces. Gentle grass slopes and smooth paving make the outside areas at The Old Hall suitable for wheelchair users.

Power Supply

The power source is located inside The Old Hall and access is through an open window. An extension lead is required.


Terrace Dining Room

The Terrace Dining Room is the smallest room at The Old Hall and it has a gorgeous extendable wooden oval table for small dinner parties or intimate weddings.

Lakes Dining Room

The Lakes Dining Room is usually used as the breakfast room on the morning after your wedding for all of the overnight guests. For smaller weddings it can also be used as the dining room for the wedding breakfast.

House Bar

The House Bar is a really unique room with a stylish bar that evokes the mood and class of trendy Shoreditch bars and members clubs. Your guests can enjoy a drink at this bar when they arrive at the venue and it is a really cool place to have a drinks reception on a wet weather or winter wedding.

The Pavilion is a beautifully crafted wooden structure in the gardens of The Old Hall and it is licensed for civil ceremonies.

There is a power socket inside the Pavillion on the right hand side. An extension lead is required for any pianists who are performing on the lawn.


Sitting Room

The Sitting room can be used as a cermemony room for small wedding ceremonies with 40 or less guests or it can be used as an extension to the Main Hall for indoor wedding ceremonies with over 90 guests.

The Main Hall is the most popular indoor ceremony area at The Old Hall. The room has a warm and cosy feel which makes it perfect for wedding ceremonies.
